Mumbai: Television actress Aditi Sharma has filed a complaint against her husband, actor Abhineet Vidyanand Kaushik, and her in-laws, alleging domestic violence and mental harassment.

Goregaon police registered an FIR on July 30, 2026, after Sharma, 29, accused her husband Abhineet, 36, his mother Urmila Kaushik, 65, and sister-in-law Kirti Kaushik, 29, of sustained physical and mental harassment as well as misappropriation of her jewellery.

According to the complaint, the alleged incidents occurred at the couple’s residence in Goregaon and spanned the period from November 12, 2024, to March 9, 2025. Sharma has stated that the matter arose after a live-in relationship progressed into marriage at the same flat. She has also provided details of items she alleges were taken.

Goregaon Police have registered the case, and a designated inspector is conducting the investigation.

Aditi Sharma has worked across television, films and digital platforms, though she is primarily known for her television roles. She began her career with modelling assignments and music videos before moving to television, where she gained recognition for portraying emotionally layered characters.

She has appeared in popular Hindi television shows including Kaleerein, Yehh Jadu Hai Jinn Ka and Rabb Se Hai Dua. Prior to her television work, she featured in the Hindi film Ladies vs Ricky Bahl and played a leading role in the Punjabi romantic drama Angrez.

The FIR marks a formal legal step in the matter. Further details will depend on the progress of the police investigation. All allegations remain subject to due process.
