MUMBAI — Acclaimed playback singer Neeti Mohan brought four generations of her family together to celebrate the 94th birthday of her grandmother and family matriarch, affectionately known as "Baa."

In a heartfelt social media post on Tuesday, Mohan published a series of intimate photos from the intimate home gathering. The visual updates featured Mohan alongside her actor-husband Nihaar Pandya, their three-year-old son Aryaveer, and the birthday celebrant herself.

A Tribute to Four Generations of Family Resilience

Accompanied by a personal message, Mohan reflected on her grandmother's defining role as the emotional anchor of the Mohan-Pandya extended family across multiple decades.

“Happy 94th birthday to our BAA! The heart of our family who has kept us all together through every generation,” Mohan wrote. “You’ve been a mother, a grandmother, and now a great-grandmother to our son Aryaveer. Four generations, one incredible woman, and a lifetime of love. We are forever grateful to have you.”

Mohan and Pandya, who married in February 2019, welcomed their son Aryaveer in June 2021. The singer regularly shares glimpses of her domestic life, frequently emphasizing the influence of multi-generational Indian family traditions in guiding her career and personal life.

Decades of Vocal Excellence in Hindi Cinema

Mohan’s family milestone comes amid a long-standing, prolific career in the Indian music industry.

She first broke onto the national music scene after winning Channel V’s reality talent hunt Popstars in 2003, subsequently performing as a primary vocalist in the mainstream pop group Aasma. She made a seamless transition into mainstream Hindi cinema playback singing in 2012, achieving widespread critical and commercial acclaim with back-to-back breakthrough hits—"Ishq Wala Love" from Student of the Year and "Jiya Re" from Yash Chopra’s Jab Tak Hai Jaan.

Over the past decade, Mohan has solidified her standing as one of Bollywood's most versatile vocalists, lending her voice to chart-topping compositions including "Saadi Galli Aaja" (Nautanki Saala!), "Tune Maari Entriyaan" (Gunday), "Nainowale Ne" (Padmaavat), "Dard Dilon Ke" (Xpose), and "Har Kisi Ko" (Boss).

Industry colleagues, fans, and fellow playback artists showered the social media post with celebratory messages and well-wishes for the 94-year-old matriarch.
