TVS Credit Services Limited has reported a 15% rise in net profit for the June quarter, closing Q1 FY27 with a profit after tax of Rs 208 crore against Rs 181 crore a year earlier. The results were announced on Monday from Bengaluru.

Loan disbursements led the numbers, climbing 31% over the same quarter last year. The non-banking lender, part of the TVS VENU group, said total income rose 13% to Rs 1,918 crore from Rs 1,697 crore in Q1 FY26. Assets under management grew 19% to touch Rs 32,053 crore as on 30 June 2026, up from Rs 26,898 crore a year ago.

What drove the quarter? A pickup in consumer spending, according to the company. TVS Credit said its consumer durables financing benefited from higher discretionary purchases and a shift toward premium products, along with wider reach. The two-wheeler segment held up well too, helped by steady demand in semi-urban and rural markets, marriage-season buying, and rising interest in electric vehicles.

The lender added more than 14 lakh new customers during the quarter, taking its total base to nearly 2.6 crore. It also widened its physical footprint, growing its network to roughly 62,000 touchpoints across the country.

On the operational side, the company said it continued to lean on artificial intelligence, data analytics, and newer technology to sharpen credit risk assessment, improve the customer experience, and run more efficiently. That push, it said, went hand in hand with a deeper presence in smaller towns and rural belts.

TVS Credit is registered with the Reserve Bank of India and describes itself as a diversified NBFC. It remains the top financier for TVS Motor Company and counts itself among the bigger names in two-wheeler, consumer durable, and mobile phone lending. The company is also building out its book in used car loans, tractor loans, used commercial vehicle loans, and unsecured lending.

The company noted it has been certified a Great Place To Work by the Great Place To Work Institute for the third year running, and said it has served close to 2.6 crore customers to date.
