The dual event will be conducted under the auspices of Dr. Jitendra Singh, Union Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions. The annual gathering serves as a critical bridge between retiring civil servants and the modernizing framework of Indian public administration.
During the ceremony, Dr. Singh will confer the National Anubhav Awards 2026 upon 15 selected retirees. The awardees have been recognized for their direct contributions to nation-building activities and key governance initiatives over their operational tenures.
According to official ministry documentation, this year’s awardees contributed to critical public sector transformations, including:
-
Digital Public Infrastructure: Scaling execution and operations across the Passport Seva Kendra network.
-
Administrative Reform: Identifying and repealing obsolete regulatory frameworks while drafting updated statutory rules to match contemporary governance standards.
-
Financial & Tech Adaptation: Integrating modern accounting technologies into public sector workflows to heighten transparency.
-
Sustainability & Energy: Driving energy conservation protocols within public sector enterprises.
Established as an institutional memory portal, the Anubhav platform enables retiring and retired personnel from the Central Government, 12 Public Sector Banks (PSBs), and Central Public Sector Enterprises (CPSEs) to formally document their administrative insights, procedural challenges, and operational achievements.
"The ‘Anubhav’ platform provides a forum for retiring and retired employees of Central Government, 12 Public Sector Banks, and Central Public Sector Enterprises to share their experiences of working in the government," the Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions noted in an official statement.
60th Pre-Retirement Counselling Workshop
Running concurrently with the awards, the 60th PRC Workshop is tailored specifically for Central Government employees serving in the National Capital Region (NCR) who are approaching superannuation. The session aims to streamline administrative transitions, detailing procedural compliance, digital verification steps, and documentation required to guarantee the seamless disbursement of pensionary benefits.
Policy Framework Releases & Banking Expo
The August 17 program will also mark the official release of two key administrative tools designed to assist India's growing retiree population:
-
The Pension Mitra Handbook: A comprehensive reference guide for volunteers and officials assisting pensioners with grievance redressal and benefit tracking.
-
Digital Life Certificate (DLC) Campaign 5.0 Guidelines: Updated operational protocols for the upcoming nationwide DLC drive, leveraging facial recognition technology and biometric authentication to simplify annual proof-of-life submissions.
To complement the administrative sessions, the DoPPW has organized a dedicated Banking Exhibition inside the Vigyan Bhawan complex. Representatives from 17 designated pension-disbursing financial institutions will present specialized banking products, wealth management tools, and digital services custom-built for retiring government personnel.
