Editorial Policy

Our Commitment to Independent Journalism

Entrepreneur Outreach is committed to publishing accurate, fair, and independent journalism that serves the interests of our readers — entrepreneurs, business professionals, investors, and anyone engaged with India's growing startup and business ecosystem.

This Editorial Policy outlines the standards, processes, and principles that govern every piece of content published on this platform. We believe transparency about how we operate is fundamental to earning and maintaining your trust.

1. Editorial Independence

All editorial decisions at Entrepreneur Outreach are made exclusively by our editorial team. No advertiser, sponsor, investor, public relations agency, or external party has any influence over what stories we choose to cover, how we frame them, or what conclusions we reach.

  • Commercial relationships do not determine editorial coverage
  • Sponsored content and paid promotions are always clearly labeled and visually distinct from editorial content
  • Our advertising and editorial teams operate independently of each other
  • No story is killed, softened, or altered in exchange for commercial consideration

If any external party attempts to exert undue influence on our editorial process, that attempt itself may become a matter of public record.

2. Accuracy & Verification

We hold ourselves to a high standard of factual accuracy. Before any story is published:

  • All factual claims are verified with at least one primary or credible secondary source
  • Statistics, data, and financial figures are cross-checked against original reports, official filings, or authoritative databases
  • Quotes attributed to individuals are verified as accurately representing what was said, either through direct interaction, verified transcripts, or official statements
  • We do not publish rumours, unverified leaks, or speculative claims without clearly labelling them as such

Where information cannot be independently verified, we will clearly note the limitations of our sourcing.

3. Sourcing & Attribution

Transparent sourcing is the backbone of credible journalism.

  • All sources used in our stories are attributed wherever possible
  • Anonymous sources are used only when information is significant, cannot be obtained any other way, and the source has a reasonable basis for confidentiality
  • When anonymous sourcing is used, the reason for anonymity is disclosed in the story
  • We do not fabricate, composite, or misrepresent sources under any circumstance
  • Press releases and company-issued statements are identified as such and are not published verbatim as original reporting without independent editorial value added

4. Bylines & Author Accountability

Every article published on Entrepreneur Outreach carries a byline — the name of the journalist, editor, or contributor responsible for that content. We believe authors should stand behind their work.

  • Author profiles include their professional background and areas of expertise
  • Contributors and guest writers are identified along with their affiliation or credentials
  • No article is published without a responsible, identifiable human author
  • Any content produced with AI assistance is reviewed, edited, and verified by a human editor before publication, and may be disclosed where appropriate

5. Conflicts of Interest

We take conflicts of interest seriously. Our editorial team members are required to:

  • Disclose any personal, financial, or professional relationship with individuals or companies they are writing about
  • Recuse themselves from covering stories where a conflict of interest exists
  • Not accept gifts, hospitality, or paid travel from companies or individuals they cover, beyond what is standard industry practice (e.g., press events)
  • Not hold financial positions in publicly covered companies without prior disclosure to editorial leadership

Entrepreneur Outreach itself discloses all significant commercial relationships that could reasonably affect reader perception of our editorial content.

6. Sponsored Content & Native Advertising

We accept sponsored content and paid partnerships as part of our commercial operations. However, we maintain strict separation between editorial and commercial content:

  • All sponsored content is clearly labeled with disclosures such as "Sponsored," "Paid Partnership," or "Advertorial"
  • Sponsored content is visually distinguishable from editorial articles through formatting and labeling
  • Advertisers and sponsors have no right to review, approve, or modify editorial content
  • We reserve the right to decline any sponsored content that conflicts with our editorial values, promotes misinformation, or could mislead our readers

Sponsored content reflects the views of the sponsoring brand, not the editorial position of Entrepreneur Outreach.

7. Press Releases & PR Content

Entrepreneur Outreach regularly receives press releases, company announcements, and PR pitches. Our policy:

  • Press releases are not published as-is as editorial content
  • Information from press releases may be used as a starting point for a news story, subject to independent verification and editorial judgment
  • If a press release is published in a dedicated PR wire or announcements section, it will be clearly labeled as a "Press Release" or "Company Announcement"
  • We do not guarantee coverage of any press release or pitch, regardless of commercial relationship

8. Opinion & Commentary

Entrepreneur Outreach publishes opinion articles, editorials, and expert commentary alongside our news reporting. Readers should be able to clearly distinguish between the two:

  • Opinion articles are clearly labeled as "Opinion," "Commentary," or "Analysis"
  • The views expressed in opinion pieces represent the author's perspective, not the official editorial position of Entrepreneur Outreach
  • Guest opinion writers are identified with their credentials and affiliations
  • Opinion content is still subject to our accuracy and defamation standards — an opinion must be based on disclosed facts and must not make false factual claims

9. Fairness & Right of Reply

We are committed to fair journalism. When our reporting reflects negatively on an individual, company, or organization:

  • We make reasonable efforts to contact the affected party for comment before publication
  • We provide adequate time to respond, considering our publication deadline
  • If a response is received, it is included in the story
  • If a response is declined or not received within the deadline, that fact is noted in the story
  • We do not publish one-sided attack pieces without making genuine efforts to include the other side

10. Corrections & Updates Policy

We are human. Errors happen. When they do, we fix them promptly and transparently.

  • Factual corrections are made as quickly as possible and noted at the top or bottom of the article with a correction notice that describes what was changed and when
  • Minor updates (adding new information to a developing story) are noted with an "Updated" timestamp
  • We do not silently delete or alter published content to remove errors without disclosure
  • Corrections can be requested by anyone — readers, subjects of stories, or third parties — by writing to entrepreneuroutreach.in@gmail.com
  • Correction requests are reviewed by our editorial team and resolved within 5 business days

11. Sensitive Topics & Vulnerable Subjects

When covering sensitive topics — including personal financial distress, mental health, legal proceedings, or stories involving private individuals — we apply additional care:

  • We consider whether publication of certain details serves a genuine public interest
  • We avoid unnecessary identification of individuals where privacy concerns outweigh public benefit
  • We follow responsible reporting guidelines on topics such as suicide, addiction, and personal trauma
  • Stories involving minors are handled with particular sensitivity and restraint

12. Plagiarism & Intellectual Property

Entrepreneur Outreach has a zero-tolerance policy for plagiarism.

  • All content published must be original or properly attributed
  • Reproducing substantial portions of another publication's work without permission and attribution is prohibited
  • Staff and contributors found to have plagiarized content will face immediate disciplinary action, including removal from the platform
  • Any verified plagiarism complaint from a third party will be investigated and resolved transparently

13. Use of Artificial Intelligence

As AI tools become part of modern newsroom workflows, we are committed to transparent and responsible use:

  • AI tools may be used to assist with research, drafting, translation, or summarization
  • All AI-assisted content is reviewed, fact-checked, and edited by a qualified human journalist or editor before publication
  • AI-generated content is never published as independent, original journalism without meaningful human editorial oversight
  • We do not use AI to fabricate quotes, sources, or events

14. Complaints & Feedback

We welcome feedback from our readers, story subjects, and the broader public. If you believe we have violated any aspect of this Editorial Policy:

  1. Email us at entrepreneuroutreach.in@gmail.com with the subject line: Editorial Complaint
  2. Include the article URL, the specific concern, and any supporting information
  3. Our editorial leadership will review and respond within 7 business days

If you are not satisfied with our response, you may escalate your concern to the relevant press council or regulatory body applicable under Indian media law.
