We are committed to complying with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) and applicable Indian copyright law under the Copyright Act, 1957.

If you believe that any content published on Entrepreneur Outreach infringes upon your copyright, this page explains how to notify us, what happens after you do, and how content creators on our platform can respond to such claims.

1. Our Commitment to Copyright Compliance

Entrepreneur Outreach publishes original editorial content produced by our journalists, editors, and verified contributors. We take the following steps to prevent copyright infringement on our platform:

All staff and contributors are required to submit only original work or properly licensed content
Press releases and third-party materials are clearly attributed and used within fair use or with explicit permission
Images, graphics, and multimedia content are sourced from licensed providers, public domain sources, or created in-house
AI-assisted content is reviewed by human editors to ensure it does not reproduce copyrighted material

Despite these measures, if you believe content on our platform violates your copyright, we encourage you to notify us immediately using the process outlined below.

2. Filing a DMCA Takedown Notice

If you are a copyright owner — or authorized to act on behalf of one — and you believe that content on Entrepreneur Outreach infringes your copyright, you may submit a DMCA Takedown Notice to our designated DMCA agent.

2.1 What Your Notice Must Include

To be valid and actionable, your DMCA Takedown Notice must include all of the following:

Your identification — Your full legal name, organization (if applicable), mailing address, email address, and phone number
Identification of the copyrighted work — A clear description of the original copyrighted work you claim has been infringed. If multiple works are covered, provide a representative list
Identification of the infringing content — The specific URL(s) on Entrepreneur Outreach where the allegedly infringing content appears. General references to our website are not sufficient — please provide exact page URLs
Statement of good faith belief — A statement that you have a good faith belief that the use of the material in the manner complained of is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law

2.2 Where to Send Your Notice

We strongly recommend sending notices by email for faster processing. Physical mail submissions may result in delays.

3. What Happens After You File a Notice

Upon receiving a valid DMCA Takedown Notice, we will:

Acknowledge receipt of your notice within 3 business days
Review the claim to verify that your notice meets the requirements outlined above
Take appropriate action — If the notice is valid, we will remove or disable access to the allegedly infringing content promptly, typically within 5–10 business days
Notify the content provider — We will inform the person who posted the content that it has been removed and provide them with a copy of your notice (with your contact details)
Maintain a record of all notices and actions taken for legal compliance purposes

Please note that we reserve the right to forward your DMCA notice — including your contact information — to the party who posted the content. By submitting a notice, you consent to this disclosure.

4. Submitting a Counter-Notice

If you are a content creator or contributor whose content has been removed as a result of a DMCA Takedown Notice, and you believe the removal was made in error or that your use of the content is lawful, you have the right to submit a DMCA Counter-Notice.

4.1 What Your Counter-Notice Must Include

A valid Counter-Notice must contain:

Your identification — Your full legal name, mailing address, email address, and phone number
Identification of removed content — A description of the content that was removed and the URL where it previously appeared
Statement under penalty of perjury — A statement that you have a good faith belief the content was removed as a result of mistake or misidentification
Consent to jurisdiction — A statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the appropriate courts in India (or the Federal District Court of your jurisdiction if you are based outside India) for any dispute arising from the takedown
Your physical or electronic signature

4.2 Where to Send Your Counter-Notice

4.3 What Happens After a Counter-Notice

Upon receiving a valid Counter-Notice, we will:

Forward a copy of the Counter-Notice to the original complainant
Inform the complainant that we will restore the removed content within 10–14 business days unless we receive notice that the complainant has filed a court action to restrain the alleged infringement
Restore the content at the end of that waiting period if no court action is filed and the Counter-Notice is deemed valid

5. Repeat Infringer Policy

Entrepreneur Outreach maintains a strict Repeat Infringer Policy in accordance with the DMCA's requirements.

Contributors, authors, or users who are subject to multiple valid DMCA Takedown Notices will have their content removed and their contributor access to our platform terminated
We define a repeat infringer as any individual or entity against whom we have received two or more valid, uncontested DMCA notices within a 12-month period
Accounts or contributors terminated under this policy will not be reinstated

We reserve the right to terminate access at our sole discretion in cases of egregious or willful copyright infringement, even on a first offense.

6. Misuse of DMCA Notices — Warning Against False Claims

The DMCA includes strong protections against misuse of the takedown process. Filing a DMCA Takedown Notice with the knowledge that the claim is false constitutes perjury and may expose you to significant legal liability, including:

Civil damages payable to the alleged infringer
Court costs and attorney fees
Criminal penalties under applicable law

We take false DMCA claims seriously. If we determine that a notice was submitted in bad faith — for example, to suppress legitimate criticism, competitive content, or fair use — we reserve the right to:

Reject the notice
Restore the removed content
Document and publicize the abuse where appropriate
Pursue legal remedies available under applicable law

7. Fair Use & Editorial Discretion

Not all use of copyrighted material constitutes infringement. Under both US copyright law (applicable to DMCA) and Indian copyright law, fair use / fair dealing permits limited use of copyrighted material for purposes such as:

News reporting and journalism
Commentary, criticism, and review
Education and research
Parody and satire

Entrepreneur Outreach is a news and editorial platform. Our journalists may quote, excerpt, or reference third-party content within the bounds of fair use for legitimate editorial purposes. We will evaluate all DMCA notices with this context in mind and will not remove content that constitutes lawful fair use.

8. Copyright Infringement by Third Parties

Entrepreneur Outreach may feature user-generated content such as comments, guest contributions, or submitted press releases. We are not liable for copyright infringement committed by third-party contributors, provided we act expeditiously to remove infringing content upon receiving a valid DMCA notice.

If you discover infringing content submitted by a third party on our platform, please notify us immediately using the process in Section 2.

9. Indian Copyright Law

In addition to DMCA compliance, Entrepreneur Outreach operates under the Copyright Act, 1957 (India) and its amendments, including the Copyright (Amendment) Act, 2012. Under Indian law:

Copyright protection is automatic upon creation of an original work
The term of protection for most works is the lifetime of the author plus 60 years
Fair dealing provisions under Section 52 of the Copyright Act permit use of copyrighted works for reporting current events, criticism, review, and research
Infringement remedies available under Indian law include civil injunctions, damages, and criminal prosecution for willful infringement

Notices filed under this DMCA Policy will also be treated as notices under applicable Indian copyright law where relevant.
