NEW YORK — Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel conducted high-level bilateral meetings in New York with executive leadership from JPMorgan, Tillman Global Holdings, Uber, and Golub Capital, capped by an operational visit to IBM Research in Yorktown Heights.
The delegation, led by Patel across the United States and Canada, is laying the ground for foreign direct investment ahead of the Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit scheduled for January 2027. Discussions centered on expanding capital markets, digital infrastructure, urban mobility, and advanced computing research within the state's flagship economic zones.
During talks with financial institution representatives, Chief Minister Patel focused on institutional scaling at Gujarat International Finance Tec-City (GIFT City). JPMorgan reaffirmed its intention to broaden operational capacity in the International Financial Services Centre (IFSC). Concurrently, Jerry Keefe, Co-President of Golub Capital, indicated plans to integrate the firm's network of global banking, insurance, and exchange partners into the GIFT City framework.
