Symphony Q1 Profit Falls 5% to Rs 40 Crore Despite Revenue Growth

The revenue growth reflects continued demand for the company's air cooling solutions across domestic and international markets.

EBITDA Surges 28%, Margins Improve

Symphony delivered a significant improvement in operating profitability during the June quarter.

The company's earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) rose 28 per cent to Rs 46 crore, compared with Rs 36 crore in the year-ago period.

Operating efficiency also improved, with the EBITDA margin expanding to 12.2 per cent, up from 10.3 per cent in the corresponding quarter of FY26, indicating better cost management and stronger operational performance.

Global Presence in Air Cooling Solutions

Founded in 1988 by Achal Bakeri, Ahmedabad-based Symphony has established itself as one of the world's leading manufacturers of evaporative air coolers, with operations spanning more than 60 countries.

The company offers residential, commercial and industrial cooling solutions and operates on a light-asset business model. It focuses on research and development, product innovation, product design and brand building while outsourcing a significant portion of its manufacturing activities.

Symphony positions its products as energy-efficient and environmentally friendly alternatives to conventional air-conditioning systems.

Stock Trades Lower After Results

Following the announcement of its quarterly earnings, Symphony shares were trading at Rs 675.85 during Tuesday's noon session, down 1.01 per cent, or Rs 6.90, on the day.

The stock has remained under pressure in recent trading sessions. Over the past five trading days, it has declined 2.40 per cent, shedding Rs 16.60. On a broader timeframe, the stock was down 4.30 per cent, or Rs 30.35, according to exchange data.

While Symphony's quarterly profit moderated, the company delivered encouraging revenue growth and stronger operating margins, highlighting improved operational efficiency despite a softer bottom line. Investors will closely watch demand trends and margin sustainability in the coming quarters as the cooling appliance market continues to evolve.
