NICDC Showcases AURIC Model for Smart Industrial Cities
NICDC launches AURIC cross-learning programme to promote industrial corridor best practices across India.
New Delhi, July 23 (IANS) The National Industrial Corridor Development Corporation (NICDC), in collaboration with Maharashtra Industrial Township Limited (MITL), on Thursday commenced a two-day cross-learning site visit to the Shendra-Bidkin Industrial Area (AURIC Smart City) in Maharashtra to facilitate knowledge sharing, strengthen institutional capacities and promote best practices in the development of Greenfield industrial smart cities across the country.
The initiative has brought together senior officials from state governments, Special Purpose Vehicles (SPVs), Programme Managers for New Cities (PMNCs), EPC contractors and other stakeholders to exchange knowledge and share best practices in the planning, implementation and operation of Greenfield industrial smart cities.
Addressing the participants, NICDC Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director Rajat Kumar Saini said AURIC has emerged as a benchmark for integrated industrial city development under the National Industrial Corridor Development Programme (NICDP).
