HUL Q1 Profit Slips 4%; Shares Drop Over 6%
HUL reports a 4% fall in Q1 FY27 profit as rising input costs squeeze margins; shares decline over 6%.
New Delhi, July 28 (IANS) FMCG major Hindustan Unilever Ltd (HUL) on Tuesday posted a 4 per cent year-on-year decline in its standalone net profit to Rs 2,631 crore for the first quarter of FY27, as higher raw material costs and increased expenses weighed on margins despite robust sales growth.
The company had posted a standalone net profit of Rs 2,732 crore in the corresponding quarter last year.
On a consolidated basis, net profit declined 3 per cent to Rs 2,673 crore, while revenue from the sale of products increased 10.3 per cent to Rs 17,149 crore.
